Unity Game Developer
Build the contained CAPEX: Red Ledger playable demo and use it as a real integration environment for SafePlay Guardian.
KalyTrex is building a contained Unity demo for CAPEX: Red Ledger to demonstrate core third-person gameplay and provide a realistic environment for SafePlay integration.
The current scope is intentionally focused: Days 1–2 of the demo, third-person movement, a contained Liberty Bay environment, one enemy encounter, essential interaction and level flow, and a working SafePlay event path. Heavy cinematic, decorative and post-production work remains secondary until the SafePlay SDK is stable.
You will work primarily in Unity and C#, improving existing gameplay systems rather than rebuilding everything from scratch. The role also gives direct feedback into Guardian SDK integration because the demo is one of the environments used to prove that SafePlay can be added to a real game cleanly.
- Build and refine contained third-person gameplay in Unity
- Implement player movement, interaction, encounter and level-flow systems
- Develop and tune a small enemy/AI encounter for the playable demo
- Work with the existing CAPEX code and asset base instead of replacing working systems unnecessarily
- Integrate Guardian SDK events and validate game-side policy/fail-safe behaviour
- Profile and fix gameplay, input and runtime issues that affect the demo
- Keep gameplay code understandable, reusable and documented where necessary
- Practical Unity and C# gameplay programming experience
- Experience building third-person movement, interaction, AI or comparable gameplay systems
- Comfort debugging and extending an existing Unity project
- Working knowledge of Git and collaborative development
- Ability to keep prototypes focused while still producing maintainable code
- Experience with Unity Input System, animation, navigation/AI, profiling or native SDK integration is useful
